August 15, 2007, the Literacy Council of Highlands sponsored a performance of "How the
Other Half Loves" to benefit the student of the Highlands - Cashiers Plateau, it was a huge

Highlands along with the Highlands Community Players will present A Funny Thing Happened On
The Way To The Forum. It's an enjoyably naughty show with no other intention than to be funny;

Writing Contest
In order to promote creative writing at all levels at the Highlands School, the Literacy Council of Highlands
is sponsoring a Writing Contest for the students of the Highlands School to promote creative writing at all
levels at the Highlands School.
Deadline for entry is May 2 and the winners will be announced on May 17
Awards: Top two finisher will each receive a $250 cash award and the two second place finishers will
receive a $100 credit for the purchase at Cyrano’s Bookshop.
